About Us

Our primary focus is handling cases on behalf of people injured in accidents and malpractice and people who have unpaid insurance claims.

We are a full service firm that handles each client's case from initial interview, litigation, trial, appeal, to closing. This capability and experience gives us the ability to view a client's problem from the "whole picture." Many firms routinely subcontract-out either a piece or pieces or the client's entire case. We do not.

Our firm consists of eight attorneys and five paralegals. Senior attorneys have extensive experience of at least 20 years. Our attorneys have experience in both representing people injured in accidents as well as the defendant-insurance company side.

Mr. Seitelman is a recognized authority in personal injury law, insurance law, and law office management. He is on the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association (www.nystla.org), and he has lectured and chaired continuing legal education courses for that organization for his fellow trial lawyers.

Our attorneys actively keep-up their professional education and professional life with the New York State Trial Lawyers Association (www.nystla.org), the American Association for Justice (www.atla.org), the New York County Lawyers Association (www.nycla.org), and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York (www.abcny.org). Mr. Seitelman is also a member of the Legal Referral Service of those New York City bar associations.

Although we have a large and busy office we strive to provide personal and caring attention to each of our clients. About 98% of our clients has been refered by other clients and member of the legal community.

MARK E. SEITELMAN is the principal trial attorney and managing attorney. He is involved in the management and supervision of all clients' cases from initial interview to closing.

Prior to starting the firm in 1990, Mr. Seitelman worked for various insurance defense law firms. The firm's practice is now limited to representing people injured in accidents and people with unpaid insurance claims.

Associate Attorneys

MICHAEL GOLDFARB has been in practice since 1993. His focus is the day to day management of clients' cases from the initial intake, litigation, up to trial including settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations. Mr. Goldfarb has worked in both plaintiffs and defense firms prior to joining us. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland (B.A. in marketing) and New York Law School (J.D.).

MIRSADE BAJRATAREVIC has been a lawyer since 2000. She has worked for other plaintiff firms as well as the New York City Law Department during law school. Ms. Bajratarevic handles all aspects of client matters including trials. She is a graduate of St. John's University (B.A.) and New York Law School (J.D.). DONALD D. CASALE has been a lawyer since 1980. Mr. Casale has worked for a score of plaintiff and defense firms including insurance companies. Mr. Casale handles all aspects of client matters including file work-up, trials and appeals. He is a graduate of Queens College (B.S. in mathematics) and Fordham University (J.D.)

Of Counsel Attorneys

IRINA ROLLER has been a lawyer since 2000 as both an associate in other personal injury firms and with her own firm. She has tried personal injury and medical and dental malpractice cases. Ms. Roller is a graduate of Hoftstra University (B.A.) and New York Law School (J.D.). Mr. Roller is fluent in Russian, and she represents many members of the New York Russian community in personal injury and other civil and commercial matters. Russian Version

NICHOLAS A. CHIVILY has been in law practice since 1990. Mr. Chivily maintains his own practice within our suite. Previously Mr. Chivily was an associate of our firm. Mr. Chivily assists us in pre-trial proceedings, such as preparing pleadings and motions, court appearances, depositions, and settlement presentations. He is a graduate of Syracuse University (B.A.) and Albany Law School (J.D.).

PATRICK A. LYONS has been lawyering since 1960. Messrs. Seitelman and Casale worked for Mr. Lyons at the beginning of their legal careers at a prominent New York insurance defense firm. Mr. Lyons's experience has run the gamut from counselling clients, trying cases, and arguing appeals. Mr. Lyons concentrates in commerical, family law, and civil litigation.

GARY S. SMOKE has been a lawyer since 1984. He previously had his own personal injury firm. Mr. Smoke is a graduate of New York Unversity (B.A. and two M.A. degrees in the arts) and New York Law School (J.D.). In addition to working with our firm, Mr. Smoke is an instructor in commercial law at the Borough of Manhattan Community College of the City University of New York. He has also authored the introduction to business law textbook that is used in his college as well as other schools.
