Javier Gonzalez*
Javier Gonzalez, a beverage truck driver, was injured when he slipped and fell on ice in front of a private home in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. He was on his way to work.
The homeowner failed to clear the sidewalk. The snow had stopped falling a few days before Javier's fall, and the owner had plenty of time to clean the pavement.
As a result of his fall, Javier sustained an ankle fracture requiring surgery (open reduction with internal fixation), physical therapy and time lost at work.
We settled his case before trial for $180,000.
