In view of the pandemic, the Legislature has extended the time that survivors of child sex abuse can bring suit to October 4, 2021.  Originally, the statute of limitations was in August of 2020.

The law allows adults to bring damage suits for sexual misconduct that they suffered as a child at either school, an after-school program, the Boy Scouts, or a religious institution (day school, after-school activities, choir practice, etc.).

Even though an extra year has been tacked onto the statute of limitations, victims are urged to review  now any potential claim in strict confidence with us.
